{"id":518,"date":"2020-05-18T10:29:34","date_gmt":"2020-05-18T10:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.seriousplay.training\/blog\/?p=518"},"modified":"2020-05-18T10:29:34","modified_gmt":"2020-05-18T10:29:34","slug":"the-1-5-meters-training-next-level","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.seriousplay.training\/blog\/2020\/05\/18\/the-1-5-meters-training-next-level\/","title":{"rendered":"The 1.5 meters training &#8211; Next Level"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Who would have thought that the most important\u00a0 delivery standard of a LEGO SERIOUS PLAY workshop or training would be \u201cSafety First\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Until recently we were talking about delivering elements of play, how to support flow in a workshop, respecting the core process, the basic rules of facilitation. And of course safety was always there in terms of \u2018emergency exit\u2019, food allergies, first aid kit \u2026 I mean \u2026what could happen, someone throwing a brick at you ? Okay \u2026the elephant is big \u2026 but still ..<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Recently I wrote a blog about the 1.5 meter Training, reflecting on the need of distance between people which is a rule in quite some countries. And people themselves also have to get used again being nearby others. So, how do you facilitate a training or workshops ?<br \/>\nI got some nice remarks and insights and talked with some people. As a result I like to share some of those insights.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-top: 0cm;\" type=\"circle\">\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Check in with your participants and ask them about their health: no cold, no temperature .. awareness of a risk through recent contacts ?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Get in touch with the venue \/ client and talk with them about what they have done. Talk about how people can get in, size of the training room, the way they organize breaks and coffee\/tea\/lunch, the bathroom.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Make sure there is circulation in the room, either by airco or opening up windows\/doors. Only make sure people are never standing in the circulation stream itself.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Take into account the General hygiene rules we all know about: washing your hands, coughing into the arm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">We offer a personal hygiene set.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Participants work -when possible- with their own set of bricks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Every participants gets a personal INFO-Sheet with the most important Rules and Tips for their personal and safety of the other group members.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">On the tables there is at least one seat between participants not taken.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">When building together we regulate the dynamics through a rotation system<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">During that process we introduce some observation techniques to keep challenging the mind and keep attention density high.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">For this we extracted insights from the disruptive Innovation Techniques from Clay Christensen, Amy Hermans\u2019 <i>The Art of Perception<\/i> and the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method itself.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Let\u2019s play seriously safe.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who would have thought that the most important\u00a0 delivery standard of a LEGO SERIOUS PLAY workshop or training would be \u201cSafety First\u201d.
